• Becta estimates that only 15 per cent of schools are currently making effective use of technology, both in and beyond the classroom
  • By 2011, Becta wants to see 80 per cent of schools making best use of their ICT resources in the curriculum and school management
  • Becta wants to sign-up 11,500 more schools to the self-review framework by March 2007
  • Once you've completed the self-review framework, your school may be eligible for the ICT Mark, a nationally recognised quality accreditation demonstrating excellence in all areas of ICT
  • In many areas, the self-review framework may complement the work schools undertake for Ofsted

Sporting a new look and a new message, Becta took BETT by storm this year, introducing record numbers of schools to its online ICT evaluation tool the self-review framework, and its best value procurement frameworks.

If you came to see us at our stand, you'll know that the self-review framework is a free, online resource that enables your school to reflect on its ICT performance. It's kind of like a "mirror", helping you to check you're making the most of your ICT resources, both in the classroom and when running the school.

The eight elements of the framework complement the work schools currently undertake for Ofsted and helps you to develop your own, prioritised action plan, helping you get to where you want to be.

However, don't take our word for it! Since the framework launched last year, an incredible 6000 schools in England have signed up to use the self-review tool. And at BETT alone, we spoke to and registered over 1000 people in just four days!

But don't worry if you missed us at BETT. You can find out all you need to know about the self-review framework, and register your interest by clicking the link below:

And it doesn't stop there! Recognising that schools are now faced with covering ICT costs through their core budget, Becta has developed its best value procurement frameworks to meet your schools needs - and help you get better value for your money!

Not only will you get all your ICT resources delivered to your school on time and on budget, Becta has gone that extra mile and will be there to help with any after service requirements your school may have. And, as our list of providers have been through the full EU tendering round, you will be serviced quickly from a framework of more than 50 approved suppliers.
